No, it's not the responsiveness of real speak, it's when you're doing things with the default voice that because the say all is set to real speak, that it slows down everything else. Like it has to examine every time a key is pressed instead of just when the say all is activated. ----- Original Message ----- From: Farfar Carlson To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 2011 11:15 PM Subject: Re: Jaws 11 say all slowdown Real Speak has never been as responsive as Eloquence due to the heavier amount of processing required. The regular default voice was used for everything else. It just had a hard time keeping up with all the typing and using arrow keys especially on web pages. When I turned the real speak off on the say all selection from the jaws voices, everything sped back up. Anyone else had this problem? It just annoys me, I wish I could have both because I have long documents to read sometimes and it would be much better on the ears. Thanks all, John
