Jaws 10.0.1142 and Win Vista and IE

Hi all,
I did get the Toshiba. It came with Vista. I am now having a problem that
seems rather strange.
I open a web page which has edit fields. Sometimes if I try entering data
in the edit fiels Jaws will not report that there is anything in the fields.
It just says space as I cursor back and forth in the field. Other times it
reports data as it should.
I checked all the Jaws settings and can't find anything out of order.
Has anyone else seen this kind of issue?
