Hi,

Disable the active desktop and disable the showing of web content on the
desk top. In win2k you can do this from the display control panel applet.

I'm experiencing the following problem with JAWS 5.10.383 running on a Dell
Notebook model 4100 with Windows XP Home Edition, Microsoft Windows XP SP2
and 512 mb of RAM.

When the computer is first booted up and after JAWS has loaded, pressing
the Microsoft Window key plus m produces the effect "Desktop, no
links". How do I get rid of this "no links" from being spoken when first
going to the Desktop and getting JAWS to say "Desktop, List View, My
Documents, and the number of icons on the Desktop"?

I have looked everywhere but can't seem to figure out how to fix this problem.

Getting JAWS to properly focus on the Desktop I have to tab away and then
use the Microsoft Window key plus m to get back to the Desktop and say
"Desktop, List View, and the number of icons on the Desktop".

Please help! Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.
