Virgil , Jaws does this because of the new language settings in version 5. In configuration manager there is a setting to turn this auto language feature on and off--it is on by default. I have yet to come across a site that causes this to happen. Would you post the site address where this happened so we can check it out? Thanks, David Captain357@xxxxxxxxxxx "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." --II Corinthians 4:6 (KJV) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Virgil Cook" <vcook@xxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 10:53 AM Subject: Re: JFW and british accent Yes, I've noticed the same phenomenon. Does anyone know why? Actually, I like it. At 09:52 AM 1/14/2004, you wrote: >Yesterday I stumbled onto a UK website and Read suddenly had a British >accent.
