Hi WhenI first got my laptop I had to buy an external floppy drive to
authorize my jfw at that time I  was running 4.5.  

That should work.

Hey I have a lab top to and I don't have a floppy drive either but I use a 
portable floppy drive that plugs into the side of my lab top. Maybe that
