If you can download to PDF, you can run the pages through an OCR package like
OmniPage. There is also a product sold by the same company called PDF
Converter that will convert PDF image files to Word documents.

Greetings,
I am a graduate student doing research for a paper. Much of my material can be
accessed through Google Books. Unfortunately JFW cannot read the image. Also,
what about reading protected PDF's? My research often leads me to websites
that make the images of original documents available online as PDS's but often
these cannot be read. Any suggestions?
