According to Freedom Scientific, there is a null-modem parallel cable they will provide for use with the power braille under windows seven. Contact them and find out of 64-bit as opposed to 32-bit is an issue.

Hello all,

I am new to this list but am a longtime user of jfw! Here is my question:

I have a new computer with Windows 7, and it is a 64-bit. I just bought Jaws
v12. I have learned that I can use the Powerbraille 40 refreshable Braille
display with a parallel cable, and a USB/parallel adaptor. Has anyone on this
list tried it? If so, does it really work satisfactorily?

I appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance,

Sue S.
