Thanks Rick. It never occurred to me that it would have anything to do with my anti virus program never occurred to me. The information as to what virus program would be nice to be given out when the question is asked so we don't give false info out and not help you to answer your question. It does scan outgoing mail. Should I turn off the outgoing mail scan? The certification is just the message it places at the bottom of the mail saying it's scanned with AVG. DO NOT turn off the actual checking of email though. Rick here is an older text I have, it's not for AVG 7.5 but it should get you where you need to be. Greetings, Let me start by saying, thanks to all that offered suggestions regarding the non existing email attachment indication issue . This annoying problem has been resolved thanks to Denis, AKA Start button. It appears that you need to uncheck the incoming and out going Certify mail checkboxes. To turn off this annoying AVG Free option, perform the following steps: 1. Open AVG, tab once to the control center button and tap space bar. 2. Use alt plus V to open the view menu and down arrow to the components submenu icon and then tap enter. 3. Down arrow to the email scanner icon and then tap enter. 4. Tab to the configure button and then tap enter. 5. Tab to and uncheck the two Certify mail checkboxes. 6. Now tab to the OK button and enter and then tab to the OK button again and enter. This should have eliminated the problem and you now can close AVG Free with alt plus F4. If so, you'll see behavior where JAWS thinks there is an attachment because of AVG. I do not know of a way to stop it.
