Hello list,

I too have this issue with attachments being announced and there being no
attachment with the e-mail. I am running another antivirus software called
The Shield.

Tell AVG not to certify incoming and outgoing mail and this will stop. The
certification is just the message it places at the bottom of the mail saying

it's scanned with AVG. DO NOT turn off the actual checking of email though.

Rick

here is an older text I have, it's not for AVG 7.5 but it should get you
where you need to be.

Greetings,

Let me start by saying, thanks to all that offered suggestions regarding the
non existing email attachment indication issue

. This annoying problem has been resolved thanks to Denis, AKA Start button.

It appears that you need to uncheck the incoming and out going Certify mail
checkboxes. To turn off this annoying AVG Free option, perform the following
steps:

1. Open AVG, tab once to the control center button and tap space bar.

2. Use alt plus V to open the view menu and down arrow to the components
submenu icon and then tap enter.

3. Down arrow to the email scanner icon and then tap enter.

4. Tab to the configure button and then tap enter.

5. Tab to and uncheck the two Certify mail checkboxes.

6. Now tab to the OK button and enter and then tab to the OK button again
and enter. This should have eliminated the problem and you now can close AVG
Free with alt plus F4.

Hi Cindy:

Are you running AVG as your antivirus program? If so, you'll see
behavior where JAWS thinks there is an attachment because of AVG. I do
not know of a way to stop it.
