RE: JAWS & PDF extraction web site

I was able to use this site to open a local pdf file and convert it to
text, and then save the converted text back to my local disk.

It was tedious to use.

I then did the same thing with Adobe 8.1 reader, using the "save as
text" option of the file menu.

It was much easier, and I thought the results were better (despite the
site's claim that you must buy Adobe Acrobat Professional in order to
get good results, which I don't believe).

Neither will allow you access to passworded PDFs as well as image-only
ones as Dean mentioned.
