I have had problems while in internet explorer on the Chase Bank website while paying mortgage payment and credit card bill. On the logon screen, I've had problems ever since switching from XP to Vista and JAWS 8. After filling in screen name and password, i have to go out of forms mode to find the logon button with the letterB, which isn't a big deal, but after finding the logon button, and activating it with the space bar or enter, since switching to Vista and JAWS 8, the speech goes dead and everything appears to freeze for about 5 minutes or so. If I leave it alone, I wil eventually be logged in, and it will work.
I got around this issue by using Mozilla Firefox to pay these bills with Chase, which worked great til the last update of JAWS 9. Now while in the forms mode and filling in pertinent information to pay the particularbills on Chase's website, there becomes a particular box where speech just dies all of a sudden. I tried this several times to varify. I tried this same procedure with JAWS 8, and it works flawlessly. 

I guess it's JAWS 8 and Firefox for this transaction online for now.

sure that your personal settings are not interfering?

Has anybody been having some strange things happening on their vista PC
lately.

Since the last update a week or two ago strange things started happening.

JAWS would suddenly stop talking, and mc hard drive sounded like JAWS had
shut down and restarted, something Vista does I think if a program crashes. 

Then I've lost focus on some menus while arrowing through them.
It has become sluggish at times.

Before the last update, I even commented how slick it all sounded etc.

Now following todays latest update, I'm having even more problems.

Any ideas I'd like to hear them.
Can't tell whether it is JAWS 9 or the computer so will download JAWS 8 and 
give that a try.
