Chris, for what it's worth, I have Jaws 7.1, and I use a braille display
with Windows XP.
From what I've been able to see, you're right; these programs literally
disappear out of the system tray on my system also. I have no idea what
causes this, and short of a reboot, I don't know any other way to get them
back. The only thing I can suggest is that you do a disk cleanup and a
defrag on a regular basis, and I don't think the disappearing act will
happen as frequently.

Hi folks.
I'm using Jaws 10.
Is there any way short of a reboot to get items in the System Tray
to reappear?
A related question, what would cause a program that is set to only
show up in the System Tray, when run, not to show up there at all?
I'm not sure if the items are there, or if Jaws is having trouble
finding them.
