Installing Older version when Newer version is already installed

Dear Tom,
Thank you for your comments, it makes sense to me.
Well, I have decided not to install my JAWS 9 and then I shall just keep JAWS
11 on my machine.
Perhaps one of these days, I will purchase JAWS 12, but with no more SMA, well
we shall see.

Now another question, will installing my Open Book 7.2 cause any conflicts with
my JAWS 11?

Thanks for your thoughts on this another issue.

With Best Regards,
Alan

The only problem I can see is that your older versions of shared components
may over write the newer versions and cause some issues. I doubt that FS
install program would look for newer versions of shared components and not over
write them.

  Dear Dave,
  Strange you bring this up.
After my Windows Operating System crash, and a "reinstall" which wiped my
main "Systems Drive" clean, I reinstalled JAWS 11, latest updated, but now I
found my JAWS 9 disk, and I also want 2 JAWS versions on my computer, as I have
always had going way back to JAWS 3.3.

Any problem with reinstalling an older version of JAWS when you have a more
current one already installed?

I bet you might think this a silly question, well you will get a lot of
those from me, sorry!

    Zdenek,

If you haven't already done so, I would leave JAWS 11 installed. I never
remove a previous version until I have two versions higher installed, and both
working very well. I always allow myself to run the older version if there
should be some unwanted "feature" or bug in the new version.

For example, I still have both JAWS 9 and JAWS 11 on this machine with JAWS
12 and am currently back to using JAWS 11 until FS fixes some problems with
Outlook 2007 calendar.

    Just my suggestion.

      Hello lissters:
I purchased my jaws 12 and I would like to uninstaal my previous versions
of jaws jaws 10 and 11. When I started the uninstalation process I got the
choices to uninstal jaws only or uninstal jaws and shared components. Which one
shall I choose?
      Many thanks.
      Zdenek
