Hi GW.
I don't understand what you wrote below. Do you mean you set the maximum
archive to 20? I think it is 200 by default. And I didn't get what you meant
by 15 feeds.

BTW: I set the archive for the problem Engadget feed from 200 to 20 but it
still took a long time before Jaws would respond when opening the updated feed.

I don't have a problem with 15 feeds with their archive properties adjusted
to 20.

I have a similar problem with RSS feeds using the IE 8 feed reader and JAWS
9. After I have scrolled through my list of RSS feeds (about 100 or so), web
pages either won't finish loading at all or I get the dreaded "Internet
Explorer cannot display the web page" error. The only thing that restores web
page loading to normal is rebooting my PC. So there is apparently problems
with the IE 8 feed reader.

Have you noticed that Jaws seems to hang on some rss feeds? Some of my
favourite feeds take a while to load. In the mean time, Jaws appears to hang.
My test is to press the numlock key. Jaws won't say a thing till the darn rss
feed has finished loading. Sometimes takes 20 seconds or more. I can't alt
tab or do anything till then.

      Here is the worst feed:
      http://www.engadget.com/rss.xml

While researching this. I found out some web pages can cause IE8 to
spike cpu usage over 60%. Microsoft is aware of this but hasn't offered a
patch.

Another symptom is that my cpu fan on my laptop would always run when
loading some rss feeds and some pages.
