HI,

What you can do is via scripting have a specified application load up =
with
your desired synthesiser as long as you have the particular synthesiser
installed of course. So you could have your dectalk as your default
synthesiser throughout all of your application / programs except for the
application / program you want your at and t natural voices to start up =
in.
By looking at the scripting language, you can even set that synth to =
start
in a particular voice if you want to.

You would just have to modify the AutoStartEvent and AutoFinish Event of =
the
particular Application / Program using the SetSynth function. You can =
also
set a particular voice etc. If you look in the builtin.jsd there are
functions to set synth voices, punctuation, pitch etc etc. So to answer
your query, yes I believe what you are wanting to do can be done in Jaws =
via
scripting no problem. You'll need to do it yourself or get a mate who =
is
knowledgeable in jaws scripting to do it though.

Subject: I just now purchased the AT&T Professional Voices...

Hello Everyone--=20
This is still another one from Beto Escobar III, and all responses are
welcome. I am still awaiting responses regarding my question about my
DECTalk Express.... =20

Never the less, I just now, today Thursday, September 2, 2004, purchased =
the
AT&T Professional Voices. I purchased the Speech Engine which comes =
with
two American voices, and I also purchased a separate voice, Audrey, the
female U.K. voice, and I would now like to know something. If I keep my
DECTalk Express as my default speech engine, would I be able to, for =
lack of
a better word, turn on the AT&T Professional Voices when I start just =
one
particular program application? If not, would I be able to use one of =
the
American voices as the default speech engine, and still use the third =
voice
which I purchased as well on just this one program application? =20

Basically, I know absolutely nothing of how I can arrange the voices in
either the DECTalk Express or the AT&T Professional Voices. Would =
anyone
please send me an E-mail letting me know how I can change the default =
voice
in my DECTalk Express, and also inform me on how I can manipulate the =
new
AT&T Voices I just purchased. =20

Thanks from Mr. Confused,=20
