Hi
I know that the steps below were probably already taken, but nevertheless:
1) Open Internet Explorer and go to the Tools menu.
2) Go to Internet Options and press Control and Tab until you hear
Connections
3) make sure that the option is selected to Always Dial My Default
connection.
4) Tab until you hear Lan Settings and press Enter;
5) make sure that all check boxes are unchecked and press enter.
That usually works for me.

She logs onto the net through internet explorer using a dial up connection.
Probably an old version as she is still using jaws 3.7.
