I haven't looked at the page yet, but I want to dispel the myth that you are unable to access WebBraille if you lack a braille display or a copy of an expensive OCR program for the blind. You can use the free braille translation program winTrans, which is the windows interface to the free command-line program NFBTrans, to back-translate web braille documents, then read them as you would read any other text. You can download winTrans here: http://www.blind-computing.com/braille/programs/winbt.exe Dean _____ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Cristobal Muñoz Sent: Sunday, November 11, 2007 1:56 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: ESPN the magazine online Hello list, Has anyone on here had any luck navigating the online version of the ESPN Magazine editions? The best I can do is get to a website with flash where it seems like the pages are listed as buttons, but I am not able to access any articles. I was once informed that ESPN the magazine was available through the web braille service, but since I don?t have a Braille display and neither Kurzweil, that?s not really an option. I was just wondering if someone knew of a way how to better access the articles because I?ve had no success so far. I?ve contacted ESPn directly and I get the typical run around about call this department and that department. We?ll make note of your situation etc. Mainly though, I get the impression that they just want to get me off of the phone ASAP as soon as they hear the words blind and accessibility and so on. I get the magazine in print as part of a subscription package for something else, but of course I can?t read it. I?m using JFW 8.0 Pro on an XP machine, but even with prior versions, I?ve had no luck. Cristobal
