Hmm. Okay. I'm Jim Morison's generation, and I lived in California at that
time. I never heard Morrison sound like that when he spoke. Maybe if
anyone had been in that Paris hotel room at the last, maybe he would've
sounded that bad. But even very drunk (he wasn't very big on psychedelic
drugs, but a really heavy drinker). I don't know. I just don't know. but
that's an echo of a Lou Reed line, I guess...another sort of drug soong.

Daniel, I will assit you in this endeavor but to me, he sounds more like Jim
Morrison would sound today if he were alive. Though guns and roses is pretty
apt but the pot smell issuing from this computer is pretty thick.

kerri,
Maybe we could pool our resources and find this poor guy a speech therapist
and a substance abuse intervention counselor. I hate to leave him in this
condition. I'm not sure if it's just the Quaaludes or if he's drinking,
too. I think he's hiding deep inside my computer, glassy-eyed, playing air
guitar and lip synching Guns n' Roses "Appetite for Destruction" or
something. I smell pot blowing out of the computer's case from the fan.
Sad. Really sad.

Daniel, an apt description of that stoner sounding guy. grin.

Oh my God. I just went to the synth menu and hit Enter on the SAPI 5
option. It's a nightmare. A voice of someone with marbles in his throat
and his mind slowed down and made very strange by heavy sedation. Ack! I
don't think this is going to replace my good old Jaws voice guy, for all his
vocal shortcomings.

Judith,

I think you're using win98 second edition.
But, use this keystroke, and up/down arrow and you must see no speech option
that may silent the speech temporary if you wish.
For xp pro/home users, there is another option of sapi 5 but I think that it
depends on which syntheisers are installed in your pc.

I hope it's more clear, now.
