Duh, my memory is short. Whoever had the problem with the way JFW speaks the date with insert f12.

Try going into the configuration manager, hit alt-s for settings, arrow down to text processing. Try taking a look at the date processing radio buttons. See what happens if you put it on no translation. If this doesn't do the trick, try adjusting the next group of radio buttons which affects how Jaws translates numeric data.
