Cyber Spooks?

Hi, over the last week or so I have started to get a weird thing
happening...
Using Jaws I am normally told how many unread messages are in my In Box
Folder. Over the last week I have somehow acquired 6 unread messages that
don't exist...
Checking the mails in the box, they all show as unread & Control+U tells me
there are no more unreads in the folder, yet the status line still says
there are 6 unread messages.
I moved the messages 1 at a time into a different folder, looking to see if
the unread number changed as I went, nothing changed, still showed 6 unread
messages on the status line, even when the folder was empty!
Someone from another list posted on the same matter but there were no
responses, anyone got any ideas, or am I being cyber-haunted!!
