Compiling and Recompiling Scripts?

Hello Freedom Scientific and JFW List Serve:
I wish to use Skype, but I have recently found out that there are scripts which
need to be downloaded then either be Compiled or Recompiled?I do not know how
to do any of these things; as a result, would someone please send me directions
on how to compile the scripts for Skype or any other program which needs
scripts for accessibility?
