Combo boxes not reading

Hi listers, I just installed Jaws 5.00844. For some reason, lists of items in
combo boxes won't read. I hit the down arrow and move through the list, but
Jaws is silent. If i do a say line, Jaws reports 1 of ..., 2 of ... etc. Any
ideas?
