Judy, No, the classic start menu is gone with windows 7. good news, with
the search field, you can simply type in what you want and enter it and you
will be where you need to be.
If you need a good tutorial prepared by Microsoft, either write me and I
will send it to you or go to the start menue with the windows key, which
brings up the search box and type in "getting started" and press enter. you
will be on a web page with a lot of helpful information on windows 7. the
article you will want to look for is Accessability, transitioning to windows
7. It is aimed at the visually impaired on how to use the new operating
system.
you will enjoy using windows 7 when you get some background and put in a few
hours. the program is incredibaly stable.

Subject: Classic start menu?

Greetings,

In Windows 7, is there a way to get back the classic start menu as seen in
earlier Windows versions?

Thanks in advance.

Judy
