Joel,
I feel like that about computers in general. It never fails. If I have a problem at work and call the I.T guy to have a look at it and, after cajoling and reminding and pleading, he finally shows up, whatever was wrong disappears and the darn thing works like a charm. Worse, the minute the guy leaves, it starts jacking up again. It's why I got such a chuckle out of that message of yours.

Wel, I often feel that way about Jaws, as if it's some sort of coded
poultergest or zombie. So the joke's certainly not lost on me.

to me, as it happened a few minutes ago when I was composing another
outgoing email, much as I described.
It's alive!  Aliiiiiivvvve, I tell you!!!  It likes to torture you, make a
liar out of you; it will work when you swear it won't and break down when
you think it will work.  It's aliiiivvvveee!  Ok, sorry, I couldn't resist
this one.
