That explains (if that's ever possible) my ignorance. I never used JAWS 10 since it didn't work at all well when I first installed. I jumped to JAWS 11 when it came out. Thanks for clearing that one up. trashed my Dave Created in the Audio Recording and Mixing Studios, San Jose, California ----- Original Message ----- From: Adrian Spratt To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, November 05, 2010 14:20 Subject: [Bulk] RE: [Bulk] Application Mode JAWS 10 announces application mode. I'd successfully switched it off, but it has somehow returned. I've lately been alternating between JAWS 10 and 11. App mode doesn't show up or interfere with JAWS 11's performance. However, it can be disruptive in JAWS 10. Samara, try this, which I've been meaning to but haven't so far. Go to www.finance.yahoo.com That isn't the only affected webpage, but it used to be the one where I could switch off app mode. I did so by going to the top of the page with control-home and then tabbing down a few times until the on/off link appeared. For some reason, I can't reach this link on the other pages where "app mode on" is announced. When you hit the link, it will say "app mode on." Press enter on that link and it should turn it off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Farfar Carlson Sent: Friday, November 05, 2010 4:47 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [Bulk] Application Mode Samara, Not sure what you mean. Does it announce "application mode"? I just don't recall anything like that.
