I will keep this message for those times when that happens with my clients, Ray, thank you for it. I am just hoping I can sort out my tandem issues soon. :)

Hello All: I wanted to share this issue I found using JAWS Tandem. If you are accessing someone's computer using JAWS tandem, that is, you are the one who has requested access and the computer you are accessing is a Vista machine, you will see this issue. If you do anything on the client's computer where the User Account Control (UAC) in Vista comes up, such as installing or uninstalling software, you cannot access the UAC dialog through your tandem connection. Also, the person you are working with cannot access the UAC on their end with JAWS while the tandem connection is open. What I mean is neither you nor the person you are working with can tab around in the UAC dialog or activate any of the buttons. The work-around for this is to: 1. At your end, do alt-insert-tab to switch back to your computer, suspending the tandem connection. 2. Have the person you are helping tab to the continue or allow button, depending on which UAC dialog is up and press space bar on it. 3. You press alt-insert-tab again to resume the tandem session. After that, you should be able to do whatever you need to do. This happens every time the UAC dialog pops up.
