Hi Steve,

I think I misspoke in my last post. I should have said that you can add to
the " Jaws for windows is ready " statement, but you can't change any part
of the " Jaws for windows is ready " statement. For example you can script
something like " Howdy Steve, your " in front of the Jaws opening statement
or something behind the statement, but you can't alter the default
statement. i hope that I haven't butchered this explanation up to bad. If
I have hopefully someone will bail my but out with a better explanation.
Take care.
Mike

  Hi Steve,

Yes, it can be changed. I changed my " Jaws for windows is ready "
opening statement to something else that can't be posted! I had help in
doing the scripting so I can't give you step by step directions on how to do
it. I can only tell you that it can be done. Take care.
  Mike

It can, but it would require the editting of at least one JAWS script
file. Unfortunately, I can't recall which one you'd need to edit. Perhaps
one of the scripters on here will chime in and remind us both.

      hello list.

does anyone know of a way to change what jaws says when windows xp
starts?

currently it says jaws for windows is ready.

can this be changed to a statement of my choice?

      all help is appreciated.
