Hi Steve,

Yes, it can be changed. I changed my " Jaws for windows is ready " opening
statement to something else that can't be posted! I had help in doing the
scripting so I can't give you step by step directions on how to do it. I
can only tell you that it can be done. Take care.
Mike

It can, but it would require the editting of at least one JAWS script
file. Unfortunately, I can't recall which one you'd need to edit. Perhaps
one of the scripters on here will chime in and remind us both.

    hello list.

does anyone know of a way to change what jaws says when windows xp
starts?

currently it says jaws for windows is ready.

can this be changed to a statement of my choice?

    all help is appreciated.
