Hello there. In answer to your questions,
first: to get to the web update button: when you first go into Adaware, hit
shift-tab twice, and you'll be on the web update button. Hit space bar to
get into the update screen. Now tab three times and you'll be on the connect
button. Hit spacebar to activate the update check.
Secondly, you don't hit the scan now button. Instead, you need to hit the
start button, and then, hit the "next" button, and your scan will start.
