Hi, In case you missed this message. The old version of AdAware can still be used while Lavasoft says they are planning to make their latest version screen reader accessible. I wrote: Mattias, No need to worry about the new version that's not screen reader -accessible. This is what's happening for the time being, until further notice if you are using the old version: First of all, make sure AdAware is not launched when you do the below. You're about to install update definitions, and they won't install if the program's already running.dupdate - Download the latest Definitions File in ZIP format here http://download.lavasoft.com/public/defs.zip and save the file to a Direct the download to go to your programs files folder for AdAware. Mine, for instance, is c:\program files\lavasoft\adAware personal isnt Now go into that folder, select the file (it'll be called defs.zip) and put up your context menu (key to the left of the right control key) and choose Extract to Here. Now launch AdAware, however you do it. If you're using Jaws, it will probably be focused on the Status button when the AdAware interface comes up. Just to see that the update worked, press space bar on this button, then use the Jaws cursor to read the top line of the window that brings up. It should give the details of the update definitions you just added. If it doesn't say anything about definitions, press escape to clear this and then press space bar again, and the right information will probably come up then. You should find that a very recent date will be mentioned on that line about definitions. That's the update you just installed. Now hit escape to close this, tab to Scan Now and do what you already know how to do from there in. Hope this helps.
