Hello David and list,
I guess it comes down too how much we need to pay for the software that then
makes us frustrated with it, we certainly appreciate the software companies
for doing this for us to also enjoy PC's but like everyone regardless
whether we are blind or deaf we want value for money and especially when
older versions of Jaws runs better for me.

I don't disagree with your statement at all. Fortunately, there is a
screen reader on the market that allows me to use a computer in a way that
is reasonable as a blind person. That is the escence of why I chose Jaws
and why I continue to use it. It isn't perfect and it does have
limitations. It is man-made after all, just as you and I are. Had I ever
been previously sighted, I would have a different view. But that is not
JFW related so won't go any further down that road.
