Try playing around with the verbosity options in the configuration manager.
Something there may quiet it down. It doesn't speak that for me. I have mine
set for advanced verbosity.

When I cursor through the icons on the taskbar, JAWS says "running
applications" before the name of each item.
How do I silence this? I'm sure it's obvious, but ...
