Edward,
When I run across a web page that acts as you described, I do one of 2
things. I either click on some part of the page with the JAWS cursor, or I
toggle the Virtual Cursor Mode off and back on with JAWS Key plus z. This
usually works to allow the page to be read correctly by JAWS.
