David, I gather by the lack of response, that your answer, is unfortunately probably not yet. <grin.> as per your subject line, man it's just a way big call to ask a straight ahead question like that. i.e. how you go about writing scripts for an application. If you've been on the list for long, you'll notice that some of the questions regarding utilization of functions etc, are often rather technical in nature, and I'd hazzard to suggest that the success or otherwise, of even an experienced scripter, at making a new software application accessible, is just dependent on such a large amount of variables! and how much accessibility is actually required for your particular way of working/functionality, etc. Until someone dives in to it, there are just sooo many caveats to be taken into consideration. to start off seeking to learn the basics of scripting things, you should probably study and go through the many exercises and tutorials that are around on the subject. have you tried going through any of the basics of scripting manuals and carrying out the exercises yourself as yet? do you feel you have a pentiont for programming yourself? But, again, if your at the very beginning, I would not be holding your breath to be wanting to have made this new application accessible within the first week, or anything like it. <smile.> Don't mean to be doomAndGloomer on this, but even with the extremely limited amount of experience I've had, not having come from a programming background myself, my own take is, it's not at all a simple thing, unless your brain is wired in a particular way. in jaws 8, the basics of scripting training manual document, can be found in c:\program files\freedom scientific\jaws\{Your jaws version}\manuals there's other ones on the web too, but I'm unframiliar with where those all are now. hope this helps you some. it's just a very big question to start answering really. you might try hotSpotClicker from: http://www.hotspotclicker.org for a way simpler an less sophisticated approach to getting access to attaching click zones to keyboard commands, and labelling those meaningfully, but it cannot do as sophisticated a job as scripting may be able to do, or may not depending on how the application is written anywayz. ----- Original Message ----- From: David ingram To: jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, April 09, 2008 1:48 AM Subject: [jawsscripts] How can i write jaws scripts for spyblaster?
