Bob,
Yeah, I was just curious why you actually needed it to be visible.
Can you still get at the properties you care about, even though it remains
off-screen?

Unfortunately it doesn't respond as you would expect.
Using the msaa object select and do default action don't cause anything to
happen.
UIA invoke, select addtoselection don't do anything. Scroll patterns aren't
available on the element or it's parent.
It seems only a double click on the item causes the response.

If the thing you want to get to is an object, can't you just navigate to
that object via the structure, and interact with it even though it is not
on
screen?

Tried that and the uia scroll patterns aren't available either.
I'm going to have to scroll the window manually and then check to see if
the
object is in view.
Being able to use the scroll wheel means I don't have to be accurate in
positioning the mouse as the scroll bar is a lot smaller than standard
size!

Could you just use MSAA select methods?

Does anyone have a method for emulating a mouse wheel being scrolled?
I am struggling to bring an item in a list into view and would like to
try
and avoid clicking the scroll bar!
Thanks
