Hi, As I recall, your last script had 0 for the 2nd and 3rd parameters of BrailleAddString(). Those values indicate the pixel location of where the mouse should click if the user clicks the routing button in that area of the display. Using 0s tells JAWS to not click there even if routing button pressed. So possibly you can move the cursor location, by setting the pixel location to that at the beginning of the edit field area. If for example, you're reasonably confident the PC cursor is in the correct location you could use GetCursorCol() and GetCursorRow(). -----Original Message----- From: jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Farough Sent: Friday, May 21, 2010 2:42 PM To: jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jawsscripts] Braille marking position of cursor I have another braille related question. In this application I am scripting, I am noticing that if I tab to an edit field which is blank, when Jaws is displaying the information for that control, ( the name, type etc.) that Jaws will mark the first character displayed with the dots 3 and 6 to indicate the position of the cursor. Normally I would expect to see this marking immediately after the position of the type of the field. Is there something I should be doing to maintain the standard cursor positioning? If I tab to a field which contains data, then the position of the cursor is shown at the beginning of the data in the field as it is supposed to do.
