Hi Kevin, in the windows folder on your c drive you will find a folder called
media. That's where sounds live. As far as asigning them to windows functions,
assuming you're using XP go to control panel, then to sounds and audio devices,
onto the sounds page. If you tab a few times to get past the sound scheme
settings you'll find a list of windows events. Highlight the event you want to
asign a sound to, then press the tab key and you'll be on a list of sounds,
which you can either select by arrowing up and down the list, or by initial
letter. What I've done to make life easier when it comes to asigning sounds is
to put a number at the beginning of the name.
                    John.

Hi I have recently downloaded and unzipped some sounds from the Jaws user
site. My question is how do you get them to play as one of the windows sounds
(where should they be put) many thanks.
