Hi John and Amro thanks for your replies on windows sounds. Will try your suggestions and appologies for forgetting to mention the operating system. tc ----- Original Message ----- From: john coley To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, December 22, 2010 11:06 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: windows sounds Hi Kevin, in the windows folder on your c drive you will find a folder called media. That's where sounds live. As far as asigning them to windows functions, assuming you're using XP go to control panel, then to sounds and audio devices, onto the sounds page. If you tab a few times to get past the sound scheme settings you'll find a list of windows events. Highlight the event you want to asign a sound to, then press the tab key and you'll be on a list of sounds, which you can either select by arrowing up and down the list, or by initial letter. What I've done to make life easier when it comes to asigning sounds is to put a number at the beginning of the name. My question is how do you get them to play as one of the windows sounds (where should they be put) many thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this message.
