I can't imagine what happened ...
Make sure that you are on the properties item before pressing enter. My
machine often has Jaws getting ahead of itself by saying properties when it
is actually on open.
If you still can't access the information you need, try pressing
JawsKey+control+w, when in the properties details, to put the
JawsKey+control+information in
to a virtual window.
You should be able then to use your normal cursor to read the text and you
can press the escape key to exit the virtual window.

Select "my computer" from the desktop.
Hit the applications key.
Select "properties" from the list and press enter.
Now, use your Jaws cursor to navigate the information.
You will find the operating system and other information there.
