The real curse with this IE 8 is that Windows Update keeps wanting to put
it
back into your system after you've removed it.
I had this problem and was told that I would have to download a special
tool
that would prevent it being downloaded again. I googled it and found it
easily and, presumably, it is working.
I believe that Microsoft is getting it in the neck because of all the
problems they have caused for many software writers with IE 8. Well and
truly deserved I think.

If this problem has only been happening since installing Internet
Explorer
8, I would recommend removing it and returning to your previous version,
if you remove it from add or remove programs in control panel, it will
revert to your previous version.

For some unknown reason, I am having problems when trying to select
anything
via the alt key when on the internet and say wanting to select
favourites.
I seem to lose the focus and can't select it or anything else for that
matter and hwen I do, it takes a while to achieve this.
