Only you can decide whether its necessary or not. It all depends on what you want to use the drive for. I don't have mine devided up, but I wouldn't blame you if you should decide to.
Dave.

Hello Chris, Darran and Dave. Thank you all for your messages. You all said the same thing and it has worked a treat. My next drive letter is G and I have tested it successfully. I removed the device after clicking the icon in the sys tray. I think I am right in saying that if I didn't the data would be lost?

My instructions tell me to set up the device for secure and not so secure sections by dividing the space on the device. Is this necessary?

Cheers

Ron

Ron

My daughter has one of those pen drives which she just plugged in and it was
recognised by XP. It appears as the next drive letter available in Windows
Explorer, in our case the 'F:' drive and is used like a disk drive. An icon
appears in the system tray which is labelled as 'Safely Remove Hardware',
which you should click on before unplugging the device.

Cheers

Chris and is used lik

Hello All. I was given one of these little gadgets for Christmas. It is a
flash memory device for storing files etc. I have instructions for the
device when putting it into a USB port and a CD which I believe has the
software on it with a wizard. My question is which do I install first?

Cheers

Ron
