Hi John, yeah, that's a good idea. Or if you've a sighted help you could maybe quit Jaws and let the sighted person see if the down arrow key works as it should. I'm no expert really but it does sound like a hardware problem. If you turn Jaws help mode on (Insert + number 1 on the numbers row) and press the down arrow key do you get any feedback for instance?
