Hi Ali. The JAWS keystroke for speaking the line and column of the virtual
cursor in IE is Alt-Delete.

Cheers.

John

Subject: [jaws-uk] a couple of questions

Hello everyone,

I have a couple of jaws related questions:

1. In windows live messenger, I don't like the clicking you get when someone
is writing a message, so I have turned it off. I would still like a
notification to say that someone is typing, one that is spoken by jaws. I
know jaws gives a notification when they first start typing, but when i alt
tab back into the conversation, I would like to check. Is there a keystroke
to get a spoken message saying "so and so is writing?"

2. In microsoft word, there is a keystroke, jaws key with delete, that gives
you the column that the cursor is sitting on. How can one get this
information in internet explorer.

I am using jaws version 11, latest build, internet explorer 8 and windows
live messenger version 14.0.8089.0726.

Any help would be great.

Best wishes,
