First you will want to highlight the entire document to make it English
UK all the way through then carry out these steps:
1 Then press ALT+R, and then letter U for "Language".
2 Then in the dialogue that comes up select the desired language
using the cursor keys that you wish JAWS to detect the passage as.
3 Then press tab and until you reach "Detect language
automatically" and then press spacebar on the option if it is not
checked.
4 Then tab to "OK" button and press spacebar. Remember to save
the document so that this change is made in the document permanently.

Regards.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Word spelling language problem

Hi,

Sorry this is a bit OT but hope I'm excused with the list traffic being
quiet....

Using JFW11, Word 2007, I'm spell checking a 4 page document. Suddenly,
the default language changes to French for no reason, just at a point
where I have a heading "Expenditure:" on page 2. If I skip a para or
two, it goes back to English UK default.

Then it does it again further down the document.

Weird, the default language of course is English UK but I can't work out
why it suddenly does this in the middle of the file?

Anyone seen this before? No problem if anyone wants to see the file,
I'll attach it off list.

Kind regards,
