Barbara, I wouldn't have expected an Office reinstall to have solved the original problem you mentioned, as I believe that problem stems from the zoom setting of that specific document. If you've changed to 100% zoom and it still happening, then I'm out of ideas other than to say that you should still be able to read the document using Control + DownArrow to move by paragraph. You also now mention that jaws is only reading half a word - has this just started happening, and it is only in this document?
