Hi folks,

OK, topics way off now.

Please move this onto access-uk, bcab, or Chris's VM list he's just
mentioned.

I'll allow a few hours for folks to catchup with mail, but the topics
closed.

Cheers,

Barry

Subject: [jaws-uk] Windows XP mode and Virtual XP

Hi folks.

I'm running windows 7 64 professional with jaws 10 and 11.

I work for a company that uses a CRM system with a security certificate.

However, with Internet Explorer 8, I keep receiving certificate security
error message because the certificate is not verified. It's not verified
because it is only for use within the company so there is no need.

I've checked Explorer help and there is no option for turning this off or
making exceptions, which I think is pretty disgusting.

I'm not satisfied with the way that Firefox works with Jaws, it's just not
reliable enough.

So, I need to be able to use Internet Explorer 7 for now.

However, you can't load Explorer 7 on a Windows 7 system. With me so far?

I've been doing some checking and you can run Explorer 7 through XP Mode
with Virtual XP.

Does anyone have any experience with running XP mode and virtual XP? Is it
accessible and are there any implications for Jaws?

Many thanks in advance and sorry for the long explanation.

Cheers

Darren
