The terms "Video Card" and "Graphics Card" are synonymous with one another. "Video Drivers" or "Graphics Drivers" are what reside on your computer's system and make the above work. And while we are at it, "Firmware" is to all intents and purposes a program which resides inside the actual card itself and is also involved in the process of making it work. Phill who asked a question on this list, will well recall he downloaded a Demo copy of Lunar to test for me, now the effect was Disaster , due to Phill having Dual Monitors. The warning about Dual Monitors was not on the Website so he did not expect this. I hear also mention Dual Core, is there a difference please? I was told some years ago it was best to have Independant Graphics card, with it's own memory not sharing the Motherboard. Now all that advice seems to have changed. I am left doing a work a round with my Desktop due to this. If I try to alter the Resolution for Jaws, Pc will do a Reload or blue screen. I am finding it and even those who should know not possible to find a suitable Driver that is compatible. Laptop is no problem. What I would like to know is why advice now differs. phill I am sure will have looked at the Jaws or Fs Website, he may well not have found anything that looks suitable. If anyone has the time please can you run over the main difference between Video Card Graphics card and Drivers do they both mean same thing. I will not muddy the waters by throwing in DCM, I think Phil Medway on the list did try to explain this some time ago Regards Dorothy ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
