[jaws-uk] Spybot again

Hi, Folks,
I wonder if someone can explain this for me?
When I check to see what's happening when Spybot is checking for threats, I get
the total to be checked as something like 24 thousand odd. Yet I know there are
far more files than that and that the antivirus scan covers three or four times
that amount.
Is Spybot limited to certain files?
