I suspect you are interpreting the number wrongly. Spybot as of today's
update ,checks for 24,800 different types of spyware threats. That is what is
displayed in the Status line. "Running bot-check (####/24800:[botname]"

Hi, Folks,
I wonder if someone can explain this for me?
When I check to see what's happening when Spybot is checking for threats, I
get the total to be checked as something like 24 thousand odd. Yet I know there
are far more files than that and that the antivirus scan covers three or four
times that amount.
Is Spybot limited to certain files?
