On the subject of SMAs I think I am going to go the NVDA route and donate
NVDA £50 as I think if every JAWS user did the same then the research and
development of NVDa shold move quickley forward.
JAWS always appeared at he industry standard kit for VIPs in the workplace
and of course paid for by employers or Access To work and in turn many of
the employed JAWS users could easily get a copy for personal home use in my
view JAWS has had it so good for a long time and as a private individual I
really do not find what I get for my money so appealling.

Dear list,
Just got my letter about renewing my Jaws SMA.... I've been around since
Jaws 3, I reckon I've shelled out close on £2000 in SMA's and now the going
rate is another £180 if I take it before Dec 31. If not then it's £200...
just ram it right up the blind community why don't you?
Why are they allowed to ramp up the price by twenty quid in a couple of
months, if it's £180 now, it should be £180 up to the next upgrade. I must
have paid for my screen reader three times over.
Are they really making big strides these days or are they just adding bells
and whistles that the average user will never use or need.
Well if NVDA continue to improve their product which is growing in
popularity, here's one person who will dump this total rip off very soon.
Just felt like a rant, phew!
Cheers,
Robin Clayden.
